In Search (o2 Invite)

Walking through the halls after leaving Dire's office,
Scorpion is smiling to himself.
He walks towards the locker rooms,
then stops before a door.

The color drains from his face a bit, the smile vanishes, and he actually shudders...

I can't believe I am about to do this....

Steadying himself, Scorp exhales slowly, then knocks on the door of the dressing room.....

[DARKSIDE]

There is no immediate answer. In fact, it seems oddly silent inside the locker room....of Darkside! As Scorpion waits longer, and even knocks again, a replay is shown in an in-picture window on the screen.

Events that transpired after Scorpion left Dire's office are shown....

As Scorpion is shown walking out of the office, a figure is seen lurking in the background shadows. Scorpion walks on down the hall as the figure emerges into the light to reveal...MINION! He stalks out of the dark corner just beyond Dire's office with a creepy, drooling grin...laughing and whispering something to himself, "M..m...must tell Lord Nightmare! Must...tell...."Father" Death! Yeessss....hurry, we must! Yeeessss! Yeessssss..."[/i]

Minion cackles and runs off, disappearing into the shadows again..

***minutes later***

(Back out in the hallway, we rejoin the live feed in the backstage area. Scorpion becomes frustrated and kicks the locker room door. He stomps off, but soon freezes in his tracks as the rumblings of something occuring out in the arena catch his attention!)

**the camera cuts to ringside**

The arena is shaken and rattled as the fury of Darkside's pyro and the pounding riffs of their entrance music assault the ringside area. Nightmare walks out onto the stage, with "Doctor" Death not far behind. The beasts march down the ramp and climb over the ropes to enter the ring. Minion slithers out from under the ring and rolls under the bottom rope to join his masters in the ring!

Nightmare raises his mic....

It seems....we have a little business to take care of. "Unfinished" business! From what Minion has told me, it looks like there's a little bug crawling around backstage who needs a little more poison in his sting. Enough to kill not ONE, but THREE adversaries in one night, I hear!

Yeah, the boss has stacked the deck against him...and we're throwin' the bullshit flag this time![/b]

The crowd begins to erupt in cheers as they start to understand what's going on...

That is...unless he doesn't "want" us backing him up. I mean, we have not always seen eye to eye...but Darkside still gives respect where it's due. We may be monsters...but we're not stupid![/b]

Nightmare scans the crowd as they continue to cheer. He nods in approval at the crazed frenzy that has been whipped up....

So.....SCORPION!! Get yer ass out here, boy! We need to talk![/b]

The crowd is still going wild at this development, as Scorpion's music hits...

So FUCKING BLOW those words OUT THE BACK OF YOUR HEAD...!

Scorpion walks out onto the stage, a little reluctantly.
Gathering his resolve, he starts walking down the ramp.

The crowd is absolutely going nuts at this unexpected turn of events!
Fueled by their energy, Scorpion starts waving his arms at the crowd, as a big grin settles on his face.
He reaches the bottom of the ramp, and approaching ringside a bit slowly, all the sudden he appears to gain a 'fuck it' attitude, and he grabs a mic on his way and climbs the turnbuckle.
Playing to the fans one last time, he climbs down the turnbuckle, into the ring, and approaches Darkside.

Standing a few feet from them, he raises the mic to his lips...

Hello again, guys....what a tangled web we weave.

The members of Darkside simply look on, as Scorpion talks.
The crowd has whipped itself to a fever pitch, many of them chanting "Darkside" !

I guess by now you've seen and heard my story.

Good people working together towards a common goal, can accomplish anything they set out to do.
It seems our interests overlap a bit in this match Sorrow-ful excuse for a fill in GM has laid out.

So, I thought I would look you two up, not as adversaries as has been the case all these long years, but a chance to unite towards THIS common goal, and gain some retribution for all of us.

The crowd is cheering wildly, they would like nothing more than to see this happen!

Scorpion continues...

Nightmare! Doctor Death!
We have been around to many promotions, and faced off countless times.
I believe we know about all there is to know about each other.

...and I can think of no one else I would rather have by my side for this trial.

Sorrow wants blood? Violence? Suffering? Angst?
Let's give him what he wants....together!

someone starts a "Darkside's gonna KILL you" chant, as well!

Death grabs Scorpion's shoulder and turns him around...

Now, you're speaking OUR language. Blood? Violence? Suffering and angst? We LIVE for that shit!

I can tell Nightmare is on board. I'm down with it! So, little man.....YOU'RE ON!![/b]

The crowd nearly blows the roof off of the arena as Nightmare, Death and Scorpion raises each other's hands in the air in a show of unity...if only for one night.
