The latest Havoc is in the record books,
the smoke has cleared, and the members of XDX are backstage.
A little worse for wear, but overall pretty happy about being back together, and being in ELF.
Our ELF interviewer catches up with them in the hall.....
Excuse me, Scorpion, Jeff Pryce, could we have a minute?
Scorpion and Pryce stop, and turn around...Scorp smiles
Well, sure thing doll.
What can we do for you?
We just wanted a few words with you. We have a few questions, and wanted to take this time for an interview.
Pryce smiles.
Certainly, but we have just had a very grueling night, and would like to get to the locker room and get changed. Could we get started?
The random interviewer blushes.
Oh...oh yes, erm, sorry!
Well, first of all, what brings you two here to ELF?
That's an easy one.
You see, Scorp and I have never been in this biz for the money, or the accolades, no, we have always done it for fun.
Very true, Pryce.
The biggest thing that gives me personally the most enjoyment, is working with all the up and coming wrestlers, and developing new talent.
We spend our time moving from fed to fed, different organizations, and working with and training different wrestlers.
This is actually how I got started working with Scorpion...
Scorpion laughs.
Yes, I have been around for a long time.
Occasionally in the limelight, but mostly behind the scenes working with the other talent.
So, to answer your question, a few weeks ago we received a call from Jason Dire....or maybe it was one of his consultants...anyways, they told us about ELF, and asked if we could work it into our schedule.
Yeah, and not having very many prior engagements, we thought coming here would be fun, and would be a great opportunity to reunite.
I must say, I think it has worked out well for everyone.
We are happy to be here, there is a lot of great talent on the roster, and business at ELF has definitely picked up.
Ah! Okay, I see.
So you would consider you role more of that of...trainers?
Well, to put it simply and bluntly, yes, but there is so much more to it than that.
How so?
Well, for starters, it also gives us a chance to be back out there, in the spotlight, for the fans.
Old and new.
Some that have never heard of us before, and some who enjoy the fact they can see us one more time.
The interviewer looks a bit uncomfortable...
Um, well...we also wanted to ask...
The two of you took part in a LOT of matches out there tonight.
Were you fully taking advantage of the 3 match rule, or was this more training for the other wrestlers?
And how do the losses out there tonight affect you?
Scorpion laughs...
Whoa...slow down there a minute.
We could call it training, and I guess in a way it was, but actually we just wanted to fill a match card, and get as many of the ELF wrestlers out there as we could. That was the main priority.
Training?
Yes, it probably was...for us.
Pryce chuckles...
Yes, we had been away far too long, and a lot of these guys we haven't ever seen before, either.
We are the guys with all of the old tricks, but these new guys have so many different moves and ways of getting the job done that we haven't seen before, well, let's just call it studying.
Oh, okay...I am starting to see your angle now.
...and if I may answer the other side of your question,
No,
the losses don't really affect us out there tonight.
I mean, I understand there are guys getting canned for not being able to perform in the squared circle,
but the two of us are kinda here for a different reason entirely.
While it never feels good to lose,
let's just keep in mind that all the wrestlers out there really got over with the fans.
Thats what its all about.
So Scorpion, based on what you are saying...
You have just earned a spot in the Elite Chamber with tonight's win over your partner, Jeff Pryce.
Are you telling me that doesn't mean anything to you?
Well, I never said THAT.
Scorp laughs.
Do you have anything else for us tonight?
No, I believe that concludes this interview.
Thank you for your time tonight, gentlemen!
Thank you as well.
With that, Scorpion and Pryce continue on their way....
